Big Give Christmas Challenge: Together for Nature This Christmas

November 6, 2026
2026 again sees us taking part in the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge, the UK’s biggest collaborative fundraising campaign, and this festive season, we are raising money for our 'Together for Nature' campaign.

During the seven-day campaign, every donation will be doubled through Big Give match funding and thanks to The Reed Foundation, helping your support go twice as far. Together, we aim to raise £10,500, unlocking £21,000 for nature recovery across Oxfordshire.

We are in a Biodiversity Emergency, and no single individual or organisation can reverse this alone. Many people want to take action but lack the coordination, knowledge, and support needed to achieve lasting change at a larger scale. Oxfordshire needs collaboration so that opportunities for nature recovery are effectively realised. Wild Oxfordshire has long known the importance of joined-up action and the power of community groups since the inception of the Oxfordshire Nature Conservation Forum 30 years ago. Now, we are proud to support the inspirational work occurring across the county. With increased core and strategic partnership funding, we will support even more people to protect their local wildlife by:

We want everyone to experience the wonder that our natural environment provides, but we know there is unequal access to nature across Oxfordshire, so we are proactively working with communities in areas of green space and socio-economic deprivation to help address this inequity.Wild Oxfordshire is delighted to co-chair the Local Nature Partnership People and Nature Subgroup. In doing so, we provide support to the wonderful community leaders and professionals from a range of sectors who are so skilled and experienced at including and welcoming a diverse range of people to connect with nature.‍

Please help us reach our Big Give target: ‍

‍“The strength of the Oxfordshire project was in its grassroots engagement with communities, thanks to Wild Oxfordshire, building up a whole network of people who are now inspired to care for their local hedgerows. It’s been a great partnership project.”
