The river is an incredible place for all! As part of our engagement work, we offer various events across the year - why not come and see us? We'll be at local shows, fairs & festivals where we offer fun activities for the family. We also offer and lead guided walks so that residents can learn more about the river, the surrounding environment and the work of the ECP.
Please go to the Cotswold National Landscape website to learn more about the events on offer
We are very fortunate to have a dedicated team who organise and deliver our Education and Community sessions, they are:
- Rosalind Marsden, Education Officer (3 days per week)
- Rowan Wynne-Jones, Education and Community Officer (3 days per week)
- Jennifer Lanham, Community Officer (3 days per week)
If you would like to get in touch with a member of the team, please email evenlode@cotswoldsaonb.org.uk
The rivers in the Evenlode Catchment provide a unique, diverse and accessible outdoor classroom for teaching a range of curriculum subjects to all Key Stages, especially geography and science. There are many locations on the River Evenlode accessible by public footpath for Primary Schools to visit the rivers to learn about geographical features in their local area. Many of our school education sessions are held at Combe Mill, which is an ideal environment for students to learn about rivers, and the surrounding floodplain meadow and woodlands that connect this rich habitat. In the year to 31 Mar 2022 over 300 children and young people took part in one of our river based education sessions!
